AventaCares Supports the Colorado Springs Heart Walk
Colorado Springs, Colo. (June 13, 2017) – On June 3, 2017 AventaCares took part in the Colorado Springs Heart Walk
benefiting the American Heart Association (AHA). AventaCares had a team of 26 walkers made up of Aventa Credit
Union associates and their family members. AventaCares raised over $2,000 for the American Heart Association by
selling AHA hearts in the branches, holding dress down “Red Mondays” and auctioning off a prize basket.
This is the sixth year Aventa Credit Union associates have participated and raised money for the American Heart
Association. “We believe in the American Heart Association’s mission to help prevent heart disease and stroke. We are
proud to take part of this yearly event and we were thrilled that with the help of Aventa Credit Union associates and its
members, we were able to raise $2,000 for the American Heart Association,” said Deb Brown, AventaCares committee
member and Heart Walk team captain.
