Aventa Credit Union Supports the 2017 Waldo Waldo 5K
Colorado Springs, Colo. (December 20, 2017) – On October 21, 2017, Aventa Credit Union sponsored and took part in
the Waldo Waldo 5K. A record 3,247 people participated in this event with sixteen of those participants being Aventa
associates and their family members. As part of the sponsorship, Aventa had a booth at the event where participants
learned about Aventa Credit Union and spun the wheel for prizes.
The Waldo Waldo 5K raises money for local nonprofits that support Waldo Canyon restoration, disaster relief and fire
recovery, outdoor activities, and trails and open space maintenance in Colorado Springs and the surrounding
community. “This is the fourth year that we have sponsored the Waldo Waldo 5K and it is definitely one of our favorite
ways to give back to Colorado Springs. This event provides us the opportunity to spend quality time with members of
our community while supporting efforts to rebuild Waldo Canyon,” said Karin Kovalovsky, Vice President of Marketing
and Corporate Communications.
