Out of an abundance of caution, we are temporarily closing the Crestone Branch as we have been notified of a possible risk to our members and staff. We are following CDC guidelines and the Department of Health’s Guidelines and asking staff to self-quarantine for 14 days.
Our top priority is the well-being of our members and our employees. As we take precautionary measures including a deep clean of the branch, we encourage you to contact us if you need to discuss additional options or have any questions.

Dear Valued Aventa Member,
As we work together to protect our associates and members to help slow the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19), Aventa has made the decision to implement changes in how we will be serving our members.
Effective, Thursday, March 19, 2020, we will be closing all branch lobby areas. The majority of our branch locations will transition to a drive-up or walk-up only service as follows:
Colorado Springs and Pueblo branches will continue to offer full services through the drive-ups.
Crestone and Center branches in the San Luis Valley will have walk-up and ATM availability.
- Crestone will have extended hours.
The Saguache branch will be temporarily closed for business until further notice.
We understand having access to your accounts may become essential in your preparation process in the coming days. As you consider your financial needs, and in following the Center for Disease Control guidelines of reducing public interactions, we encourage you to use the following banking options:
Online loan payment services to pay your loans.
Online lending services to apply for loans.
To protect your accounts and minimize fraud we have Multi-Factor Authentication in place.

Aventa Credit Union’s Readiness Plan and Coronavirus (COVID-19)
In the midst of all of the communications that put us through a mental pandemic exercise of existence readiness, I want to take a moment and share some positive personal thoughts.
All of us currently find ourselves facing the process of uncertainty. These are unprecedented times – and we see the world maybe taking unprecedented measures. The challenge this outbreak represents to your family, relatives and community is not something anyone in our generation has seen before. As we process through this as a society it is important that we remember that throughout history, we as a people have risen to not only meet challenges head on - but moreover we often find strength in our resolve and become resolute to rise above and emerge stronger than ever. We are a resilient people that will overcome.
We have witnessed and lived through challenges before as a community and people with a common bond when we dealt with the Waldo Canyon and Black Forest fires and subsequent flooding after the fact.
What is important now is that we are committed as a team to make a commitment to stay healthy. We are closely monitoring daily reports and recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), along with other experts to help guide our decisions. To that end, here is what Aventa is doing to ensure the safety and health of our associates, branches and membership.
- Awareness around preventing the spread of the virus.
- Following the recommendations of the CDC as it relates to exercising social distancing.
- Closely self-monitoring health.
- Sanitizing work space and washing of hands.
- Staying at home if someone in household is sick.
- Limiting group meetings, business travel, interaction with outside vendors/agencies.
- Enhanced cleaning procedures throughout the day in areas of frequent points of contact and after member engagements.
- Wearing disposable gloves at all cash points of service. Sanitizing cash exchange points regularly – teller lines, work areas, ATM keyboard faces.
- Utilizing hand sanitizers as applicable.

- Multi-factor authentication in place for fraud prevention.
- On-line lending service from application, processing to deposit of funds into your account.
- On-line loan payment availability.
