Due to a recent breach, we have temporarily blocked some local card transactions that we suspect may be at higher risk for fraudulent activity. This may cause some card purchases to be denied. We are sorry for the inconvenience to any members affected.
These problems and breaches come from outside Aventa. When we detect or are notified of a problem we take this action to protect our members. Aventa has computers and associates reviewing potential problems 24/7 for your protection. We also work with CSPD, FBI and other financial institutions to quickly get these types of problems under control.
What can you do?
- Please check your account frequently and call the Aventa Contact Center immediately if you see any suspicious transactions on your account: 791.482.7600. We can reissue you a new replacement card and mail it to your address on record. If you have online access you can check your accounts and transactions very easily, and as often as you’d like at no cost. If fraud does occur on your account, as an Aventa member, you have no liability for any unauthorized transactions.
- If you are not currently an Aventa home banking member, we urge you to sign up as soon as possible by clicking here and following the short, simple instructions. With home banking, you will have the ability to quickly catch and report any suspicious activity on your account.
- It reduces risk to your money and identity to use your debit card with a signature rather than a PIN number (less information entered). There is no cost to you for selecting the “CREDIT” option when you use your debit card.
If you have additional questions about this incident, please call our contact center at 719.482.7600.
We will update this space with new information as we receive it. |
